Wayne's Story

Life just a note: I have been busy working on a new career, new personal life, and hopefully soon to be moving. During the last few months I have retrieved some letters from my storage room, written by classmates who went to Charles E. Riley when we were in the fourth grade. The date on the letters are 1966 and we were in the 4th grade. I hope to have these scanned and on the internet as soon as possible. I have lived an exciting life: Marine Corps, college, 100Gross Ton Captain's license, Master Scuba diver, Black Belt in six disciplines of Martial Arts, Bail Bonds, Bounty Hunting, and many more adventures. I have also had my share of 'screw-ups. I have also made some TV commercials and a documentary that is online at The Weather Channel under "When Weather Changed History" Operation Eagle Claw. currently trying to break back into acting and modeling; just finished a shoot off of Shell Island in Panama City for a fishing magazine. I own a new Dojo teaching Martial Arts and still studying the arts - I have found many interesting life lessons that all cultures share. I know I am coming towards the end of my travels and I really would like to catch up with my school mates, some I began Kindergarden with and later we were graduated from high school together. All of my friends, classmates, friends' parents, and teachers have had a wonderful affect on my life and I would really like to take this time and see how your lives are going. I am single, traveling most of my adult life -seeing amazing things, however, being alone is not all that great. I have a 33 year old son, Matt. He is well educated and I couldn't be more proud of him. Settling down is my next goal along with catching up with my hometown friends. Sincerely, Wayne Ledbetter / class of 1975
